This project began with a two-story addition to the house, inspired by wanting a special space to showcase their baby grand!

This open space is right off of the kitchen and is home to a vintage Italian game table, wonderful sofas and intimate fireplace seating. The lady of the house is traditional gal and has appreciation for beautiful, and functional drapery.

These needed to be more than just window coverings to shield against the heat of the direct afternoon sunlight, but they also needed to be substantial enough to protect their furnishings as well. We did multi-layered treatments, with custom valances, cornices and luxuriously full side panels. Then of course, we HAD to have motorized operating room darkening shades, because they wanted the luxury of being able to lower them all via a remote control.

Tons of functionality here, while maintaining all of the traditional details she loves, with gorgeous embellished trims and unique hardware. This is now a daily used space, for a family that enjoys being musical together, gaming together and just hanging together by the large screen TV.
