PANTONE’S Color of the Year… PEACH FUZZ

PANTONE’S Color of the Year… PEACH FUZZ

You know, color is really personal and when Pantone announced their Color of the Year, my first gut reaction was….yuck! Remembering when peach, mauve and blue were the defining colors of an era, this was almost like a Pantone trigger for me, lol! However, even after my initial reaction I can see that there’s a lovely new palette to use with this color.

You might consider, when paired with subtle greens, neutrals and shades of brown, the kiss of a pop of peach is welcoming. It’s just the whisper of softness and a gentle sunset that brings a sense of warmth, and sometimes some femininity to a space that might feel too staid or masculine. Brown is taking the lead for pairing with peach, as it works so harmoniously with it, allowing it to glow. But, being a color specialist, there are other terrific color combinations as well, so whether it’s a new decor item, a casual accent or full painted walls … peach may be the perfect color to infuse your décor with a fresh outlook.
