Interior Design for your Heart and Mind

Just down the hall from the Craftsman Farmhouse Kitchen, we went to work on a full bath reno that needed some love. This bathroom was part of the original (now demolished) part of the house, from 1955.
We brought in an architect to redesign this part of the house because we wanted to create a vaulted ceiling in the new great room, and provide a new guest room and guest bath. All of which would be closed off with a gorgeous recycled barn door.
The homeowners being quite in sync with this “farmhouse” vibe that we’ve created, inspired us to keep the guest bath decor simple and classic. It all spawned from finding this distressed black vanity. It was not only perfect in style, but came with a matching bookcase that we got to use for storage.
We went clean and classic for the lovely countertop and fixtures, and snuck in a bit of traditional with the shower mosaic. The monotone tiles played so nicely together, from floor, to shower to countertop. Just to be accented by charming pieces of art for that little pop of humor and home!
