It is quite common for bathroom renovations to start because of water leaks. Such was the case with this project. Since we knew we had to gut the tub and shower, we decided to overhaul the entire room.

We took a classic approach using large scale crema Marfil marble with dark emperador marble accents, to create a “tile rug” in the floor. Since it was such a work of art, we made sure to include radiant heat under the vanity, to eliminate the need for rugs.

The custom vanity has double sinks and beautiful details. It is walnut which echoes the tones in the Emperador marble. We repeated that same walnut once again on the mirrored closet doors, opposite the sinks.

Needless to say, the freestanding tub, and whomever sits inside it;) has the best view of the forest behind the house!
