Life Inside…How to Plant It Up!

What exactly does the word lifestyle mean to you?

This is one of the first questions I ask prospective clients, because “lifestyle” is the essence of your living space.

Being able to describe the elements that make you HAPPY, and make your life MORE CONVENIENT, curates precisely how I design your home. One of the ways we manifest this balance is via,

you guessed it— plants!

When it comes to kitchen and work spaces, I like to suggest several solutions for how to bring the outside, inside!

Most often times, it is through adding a new picture window, or select light-hearted artwork. But for me, the true highlight is through living elements.

Floor Plants    Air Plants    Potted Plants
Hanging Plants    Wall Plants
Plant & Herb Displays
Plant Shelving    Woods & Twigs

The above examples are ways we subtlety include hues of nature into a room’s palette. As well as, and most importantly, they purify the air!! Having live plants in your home brings with it so many benefits that promote healthy living.

For all of you enjoying a home based business, Feng Shui is something not to be forgotten. The energy and flow in your space is paramount. Since that’s your home base to be productive and inspired, think about your breed of plant and what it symbolizes (prosperity, growth, peace).

Think sunlight! Where is the light coming from in the room and at what times of the day? Does your favorite plant even demand a lot of sunlight or does it prefer more shade to survive?

Lastly, when selecting potted plants namely, be sure to think about your four legged friends. Some plants and/or soil can be poisonous for our pets, so planning those selections to be pet friendly can save a lot of mess later!
