It’s about that time

… for Outdoor Entertaining!

Who’s not super ready to get outside!
I know I am!

We have all been cooped up throughout the winter and the signs of Spring are starting to show themselves…hooray! It’s time to get our outdoor rooms ready for enjoyment and entertaining.

1.) Plan for it now

If you would like your outdoor space to be ready for Summer, this is the time to get on it! With furniture and accessories taking upwards of 8 weeks for delivery, this is the time to plan, design and place your orders. If your seat cushions are looking tired, let’s select that new, outdoor, weather-approved fabric and reupholster them to get pretty for this season!

2.) Landscaping

After all the gray, bring back POPS of color around the house. Empty out those frozen planters and start filling them with nutrient rich soil. Decide which will have herbs and blooming plants, and then plant seeds no later than Mother’s Day. Remove any dead shrubbery or flowers and level off any lumpy soil. Having a plan about your in-ground plants versus potted plants will make your garden center shopping list easier.

3.) Comfort & Dining

I lump these two together because that’s all we do outside at our house! The flow of your outdoor space should allow for convenient gathering as well as hosting. Take inventory of the cooking and seating elements you have currently and fill in new pieces where needed. All seating areas should be easily attainable, wiped down, cushions cleaned and the food and drink spots should be clearly defined. The goal is to have entertaining, and RELAXING, easy and enjoyable.
