Silo Point Kitchen

This kitchen was DARK, walls, cabinets… and desperately needed a facelift to brighten it up. We left the cabinetry, but made changes everywhere else.

The walls were repainted a subtle grey green, Sea Salt from Sherwin Williams, which complements the gorgeous reflective tile on the back wall to reflect the light from the huge windows across the room. It’s the same palette as the colors outside, water and sky, and it’s a wonderful contrast to these dark stained cabinets and the dark wood floor.

The countertops are granite, Fantasy Brown, a beautiful stone that has lots of shades of soft brown, pale grey and soft grey green. We also added larger, brighter, brushed nickel pendants with a very subtle nautical design over the island to complement the sink fixture. They are a nod to “Coastal” without looking beachy.

We were also able to reuse their old barstools which were a pretty contrast to the darker cabinets and matched the seating perfectly.
