Professional Tips Before You Get Started On Your Kitchen

Every time a client embarks on a new kitchen, these are the TOP 3 Things we consider and establish

BEFORE WE START:

1.) Primary Chef

So who’s doing the majority of the cooking, and what does that person need to work smoothly and comfortably in this space? We need to address what areas you prefer to be workspace versus cook top, countertop versus pantry. Who’s tall, who’s short and what heights are we making the counter and hood? THIS, this 1st TIP alone, defines why and how we are making your dream kitchen– custom, to fit YOU!

2.) Traffic Flow

Always, always think about your traffic flow!!! On the daily, Who and how many people are occupying and using this space. The kitchen is a central congregating zone for the home. Will children be frequently around? Lets not place prime cooking or prepping zones right in the pathway to the fridge where they’ll be getting snacks;) Do you like to entertain? Would you like to have more room for adult and guest seating when there’s more than just immediate family there? What’s the path best traveled to get from one end to the other?

3.) Clearance

Less is more on this one…

Get your measurements! Take them and check them twice. Making sure your dream table allows you to have chairs that can fully pull in and out without hitting the wall behind it, is like gold. Let’s make sure your vision fits the space properly without feeling too tight.
