Wolf SubZero Kitchen
Although we had selected the cabinetry, its finishes and counter tops to reflect the casual and family-friendly mood they wanted, this wonderful kitchen renovation actually started with the homeowners requesting SubZero and Wolf appliances, choosing the standard appliances for lifestyle and the specialty appliances to enhance their cooking experience. And the appliance placement was carefully designed for the utmost flow and convenience, as she is 5’1” and he is 5’6”.
She loves to cook and is the primary chef, and when they’re entertaining, she needs a LOT of cooking surface. The 48” Wolf® Dual Fuel Range was the right fit, with its 6 gas burners and 2 electric ovens, which are the best for a true baker. They also like to do a lot of clean eating, so investing in the Wolf® Convection Steam Oven was the perfect choice for cooking without over-drying, to cook the juiciest roast imaginable because the steam keeps the meat moist, as well as to bake deliciously crusty bread. And, it’s the kingpin in leftover heating because it brings everything back to made-to-order freshness.
Their decision to add the Wolf® Warming Drawer next to the range means once her dishes are finished, in they go to rest and stay warm. This appliance is one of my personal favorites and anyone who has one enjoys this luxury as not only a kitchen savior – they can be sourced for bathrooms to warm your towels and they’re also terrific in outdoor kitchens to keep the BBQ going.
Another must-have was the Wolf® Pullout Microwave with different gourmet cooking settings and a warming mode for up to 30min. And above the microwave, we added the Wolf® Coffee System, one of the best coffee makers on the market, with freshly ground beans on demand, warm mugs in the drawer below, timer efficiency and almost any version of coffee you could ask for.
The epicenter of their food storage is the SubZero® Side-by-Side Refrigerator, and under the pass-through counter we used a SubZero® Beverage Fridge, offering tons of extra storage and a designated space to cool bottles, cans and beverages to keep the kids and guests out of the main work zone. The function, durability, and intuitive design makes these appliances relatable to a smart device, and best of all, all are made in the USA.
